Join SCBWI Japan for a workshop event with award-winning author and creative writing coach Meg Eden Kuyatt to find out how to create strong query letters, pitches and bios ready for submission.

This workshop will equip you with everything you need to jump into the publishing industry.

Meg will discuss the roles of agents and editors, what they’re looking for in your work, and how you can make your work stand out through strong query letters, pitches, and bios.

As someone who has worked on both the author and publicity sides of the fence, Meg will describe her experiences of how to most effectively approach marketing and submitting books from both angles. She'll also discuss some key tips on the best ways to get to know agents and editors better.

No project is required for this workshop; however, if you have a manuscript in mind there will be opportunities to create and practice a mini pitch during the workshop.

Dates: Sunday 17th May 9:00 am – 10:30 am JST - if you live outside of Japan please check the date and time for your region!

Price for Non-members - $10

Premium members - $7.50

This event will be recorded and available to view for 30 days following the event.
