From Attendee to Author: Amy McCaw’s successful YA writing journey, webinar and workshop

We are thrilled to announce that the bestselling, award winning, ‘vampire superfan’ YA author and YouTuber Amy McCaw will be joining us for a special event on :

14 October at 7:30pm BST

She’s the author of the Mina and the Undead series, YA murder mysteries set in 1995 New Orleans. As well as They Own the Night, an 80s Dracula retelling. She also co-curated the A Taste of Darkness horror anthology with Maria Kuzniar.

Hear Amy discuss her writing journey and from being a YALC (Young Adult Literature Convention) attendee to YALC Ambassador.

The session will also cover:

• A prompt writing exercise to help you come up with new writing ideas 
• Audience Q&A

Amy McCaw is a YA author and YouTuber. She’s the author of the Mina and the Undead series, YA murder mysteries set in 1995 New Orleans, and the 1980s Dracula retelling They Own the Night. She also co-curated the A Taste of Darkness horror anthology with Maria Kuzniar.

Her main interests are books, movies and the macabre, and her novels have elements of all of these.

If Amy’s not at a book event or reading, she can usually be found scribbling away in her writing room, surrounded by movie memorabilia and an out-of-control signed books collection.

Unsurprisingly, she’s a huge Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan and has gone to conventions to meet James Marsters more times than she cares to admit.
