Even if you are an author who will never illustrate, knowing how your words will be laid out in a dummy will be extremely helpful in making those page turns sing. SCBWI-WI is pleased to welcome Sara Sargent from Random House to present the program "Picture Book Dummy Building: How to balance notions around art and text" this fall. Please save Saturday, September 16 from 10am until noon and join us IN PERSON as we dive into building a better book dummy! (PLEASE NOTE NEW LOCATION at the Ingleside Hotel in Pewaukee.) Attendees will have the opportunity to submit to Sara after the event. The cost is $75 for SCBWI-WI members, $100 for non-members. Sara Sargent is a Senior Executive Editor at Random House Books for Young Readers. She has previously held positions at HarperCollins Children's Books, Simon and Schuster, New York Magazine, and Meet the Press.
