What is a faculty critique?
For an additional cost, you can receive feedback from a publishing industry professional on a sample of your work. Registration for a critique includes written feedback and a 15-minute in-person meeting that will take place at the retreat.

- Please put Pocono 2025 critique submission: Critique Faculty Last Name_Your Last Name_TITLE OF MANUSCRIPT/PORTFOLIO (same as saved file name) in the subject line of your email.

What is a faculty career consultation?
For an additional cost, you can meet with a publishing industry professional to discuss your career trajectory. Registration for the career consultation includes a 15-minute in-person meeting that will take place at the retreat.
How to participate:
Be sure to select a career consultation WHEN you register for the retreat
Preparing for your career consultation:
- You may choose to have some career-specific questions ready to ask during your discussion.
- You may choose to pitch a project by sharing a query letter, synopsis, novel first page, or a full PB manuscript or dummy with the goal of discussing how it fits into your overall career trajectory.
- Please plan to leave your faculty member ample time to respond to your questions and/or project pitch.
