Peer-to-Peer Portfolio Critiques for Illustrators

What is it?

This is a FREE peer-to-peer critique session where you will receive feedback on your portfolio and offer others feedback on theirs.

How to participate:

Free with registration–After you submit your illustrations, you will receive an email from our Illustrator Coordinator, Robyn Stone, with further instructions.

Deadline:

  • Send your illustrations to Robyn, [email protected], by midnight Friday, 4/10/26.
  • Please put “Peer Portfolio submission_Pocono 2026” in the subject line of your email.

What to send:

  • Six illustrations OR one dummy .jpg or .png file (5 MB max) portfolio-ready illustrations

What to name your files:

⇒Please SAVE YOUR FILES as follows: last name_peer critique_1-6

For example, for Robyn Stone's first file, she would label it: Stone_peer critique_1

Peer Critique-a-Thon for Authors & Translators

What is it?

This is a FREE peer-to-peer critique session where you will receive feedback on your manuscript and offer others feedback on theirs.

How to participate:

Free with registration—After you submit your manuscript, you will receive an email from our Critique Group Coordinator, Heather Stigall, with further instructions.

Deadline:

  • Send your manuscript to Heather, [email protected], by midnight Friday, 4/10/26.
  • Please put “CAT submission” in the subject line of your email.

What to send:

  • For Picture Book/Board Book (PB/BB): Please send entire manuscript and a 1- to 2-sentence pitch (in the same document).
  • For Chapter Book/Early Reader/Middle Grade/Young Adult (CB/ER/MG/YA): Please send up to 10 pages of your manuscript and a one-paragraph synopsis (in the same document). Please include your synopsis in the same document (please don’t send two documents).
  • Translator submissions should include a brief note about the source work (also in the same document).

How to format your submission:

⇒For all submissions, format your work in 12-point font, with one-inch margins, and double spacing (US letter size paper size).

⇒Please include your name on every page of your work as a header or a footer, as well as identifying information on page one: first and last name, email address, title, genre.

⇒Please SAVE YOUR FILE as a Word doc or PDF as follows: PocCAT26_CATEGORY_YourLastName_TITLE OF YOUR MANUSCRIPT.

For example, if Heather Stigall was sending a picture book, she would save her document as follows: PocCAT26_PB_Stigall_THREE LITTLE WIGS
