
Karen S. Chow is a Taiwanese-American author, who started writing novels as a college sophomore at Arizona State University, while earning a degree in electrical engineering. Now, she is an engineer by day and middle-grade novelist by night. Her debut middle-grade novel, MIRACLE (2023, Ottaviano/Little Brown), is a Grand Canyon Reader Award nominee, a CCBC Best Book selection, and an SCBWI Out of the Margins winner. Her next novel, ANGIE LIU TAKES FLIGHT (2027, Ottaviano/Little Brown), is inspired by her engineering job. She lives in Gilbert, AZ, and serves as the Assistant Regional Advisor for SCBWI AZ.

Karen will provide 10 critiques for chapter book/middle grade/young adult/new adult manuscripts (5 written-only critiques and 5 written-with-20-minute-zoom critiques). If you purchase one of Karen's critiques, you will need to prepare the following:
Novels - send 10 pages of the manuscript and a one-page synopsis for your better understanding of the work as a whole in one PDF file. Note: the 10 pages do not include the synopsis.
