We are delighted to offer attendees an exclusive opportunity to get their work noticed by industry professionals!
Come and join us for an exciting new pitch event on Saturday afternoon in a brand-new, super entertaining format – think a cross between blind date and speed pitching. There will be opportunities for illustrators and authors for all age groups. You might even win a prize of a 1-1 with an agent or editor!
To participate:
Are you an Author, Author/Illustrator or Illustrator who is attending the conference?
Are you willing to get up on stage and pitch your work to agents & editors in front of an audience?
If yes, then to apply to take part, please submit:
• An elevator pitch of no more than two lines
• Up to 500 words of your chosen work OR if you’re an illustrator, submit 3 jpeg images of your work (300dpi)
• The target age-group, genre and word count of your work (eg PB, YF, MG, YA)
Send submissions to conferencethehook@britishscbwi.org with the subject line ‘Conference Pitch Submission’ no later than midnight on Monday 17th October.
We will select a lucky few to join us on stage and will be in touch if you’re chosen.
