SCBWI New England is heading to NCTE! We will be hosting a booth in the Exhibit Hall, and want to promote our members' work to the thousands of teachers who will be there! Learn about the opportunities we've created for members below.
SCBWI New England is excited to be developing a School Visit Directory!
The new digital directory will be hosted on our website.
To be eligible for inclusion you must:
While the directory will be updated semiannually, any members who submit their listing before November 1st will be published in time for NCTE!
To be eligible to display swag you must:
*Please note swag may not include books. See the Book Promo option below if you would like to have a book displayed or promoted.
To participate, choose "Drop Off Swag" option in the registration button above. While this is free an option, it provides us with member names we should expect swag to come from. Detailed instructions will be provided in "Event Info" under "My Events" in your member profile after registration.
Have your book displayed in the SCBWI New England booth and/or promotional flyer and/or educator raffle!
Limited to one book per author/illustrator.
To sign up use the registration button above and choose "Book Promo" option.
Then mail one copy of your book to the booth organizer (detailed instructions and the mailing address will be provided in "Event Info" under "My Events" in your SCBWI member profile after registration).
*SCBWI New England regional team members reserve the right to select how and which books will be displayed, raffled, and/or included in the flyer. Any books that are not raffled will become part of the SCBWI New England library and may also be used in future SCBWI New England events such as retreat or workshop libraries.
To be eligible for a book promo you must:
**Register and fill in scheduling form by Monday 9/23 in order to have your name included in printed convention materials!**
Signings will be held Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning.
These signings are for people who are attending NCTE and do not have other signings at other booths.
We have so many published members, and we recognize that marketing is tough. We have a limited number of signings and we want to create opportunities for members who do not have those opportunities elsewhere at the convention. Thank you for your understanding.
To be eligible for a signing you must:
*Please note that participating authors and illustrators are responsible for bringing their own books and managing their own sales/giveaways. We will have volunteers in the booth to assist you, but we cannot order or sell books for you. We will contact you after registration to arrange signing times.
To sign up for a signing use the registration button above and add the "Author/Illustrator Signing" option to your registration.
More detailed instructions, including a scheduling form, will be provided under "Event Info" within "My Events" in your SCBWI member profile. ***Please fill out the scheduling form immediately after registration!***
It is very expensive (and a lot of work!) to host an exhibitor booth at the NCTE convention (and large conferences in general!). We do not generate any income from hosting the booth. The small fees for the promotions above help defray some of the costs. The sole purpose of the booth is to highlight our incredible membership and the amazing work you do-- both on the page and in schools. Thank you for chipping in!
