Kathy MacMillan has published more than two dozen books for children, teens, and adults, including Compton Crook Award finalist Sword and Verse (HarperTeen, 2016), the Chronicles of Cavallon series (Arena, 2019-2021, as Kim Forester), the Little Hands Signing series (Familius, 2018-2024), the She Spoke series (Familius, 2019, 2024), and Little Hands and Big Hands: Children and Adults Signing Together (Hands Up Press, 2023). She was the SCBWI Maryland/Delaware/West Virginia Region co-Regional Advisor for five years. As an editor, she has worked on many titles for Soaring Kite Books, as well as working with many individual authors.
