Speaker Bio:
Daniel Miyares is a critically acclaimed award winning author and illustrator of books. He has illustrated numerous books for young readers, including That Is My Dream! by Langston Hughes, which received two starred reviews; Nell Plants a Tree by Anne Winter, which Kirkus Reviews hailed as a “future classic”; and Hope at Sea and Night Out, both of which he also wrote. The New York Times has lauded Daniel’s work as “stunning” and “versatile.” He lives in Lenexa, Kansas, with his family and their dog Violet.
