Seeking Representation: Next Level Querying with Sera Rivers

Join us for Sera's Virtual talk about what every writer needs to know about querying right now. Following her talk, attendees interested in feedback on their query letter have an opportunity to participate in a roundtable session*, getting direct feedback on their query from Sera and listening in, like a fly on the wall, as she critiques others' queries. Sera's talk is available to everyone. The roundtable session has a limit of 10 participants. Once you register for Sera's talk, you will have the option to register for the roundtable session, space permitting. *Roundtable session is an add-on to the virtual talk. You cannot attend the roundtable only.
Sera Rivers (she/her) the Creative Talent and Inclusive Storytelling agent at Speilburg Literary, an AALA member, and a writer. She represents books for the children’s and adult markets and is especially interested in inclusive narratives. She prioritizes queries by authors and illustrators who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ and other underrepresented and marginalized identities and cultures. She holds an MFA in writing for children from Simmons University. Prior to agenting, she was an editor in educational publishing.
