Join children's book author and scholar Megan Dowd Lambert for an introduction to her Whole Book Approach, developed with The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art. Drawing on her book Reading Picture Books with Children, Megan will provide tools for engaging young readers with the picture book as a visual art form and inspire authors and illustrators to use the Whole Book Approach as a lens for inspiring creative work.

Megan Dowd Lambert

is the creator of The Whole Book Approach storytime model, which she developed in association with The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art. She's written multiple books for adults, including Reading Picture Books with Children: How to Shake Up Storytime and Get Kids Talking About What They See. She won an Ezra Jack Keats New Writer Honor for her first picture book, A Crow of His Own, and is the author of several more picture books and an early-reader series. The mother of seven children, Megan lives with her family in New England.
