Description: Elizabeth's presentation will cover the financial questions a publisher asks about your book, and how to answer them, plus 5 contract questions every writer should know. Jokes will be cracked and publishing demystified. Includes a Q+A at the end.

BIO: For Elizabeth Law, editing children’s books is a vocation. She began her career at Viking Children’s Books, then moved to Simon&Schuster as Associate Publisher and Egmont USA as Publisher before taking her current position at Holiday House as Senior Editor of Backlist and Special Projects. Elizabeth loves contemporary middle grade and young adult fiction, such as novelist Polly Farquhar’s Lolo Weaver Swims Upstream and Dan Gutman’s Houdini and Me, and picture books including Five Stories by Ellen Weinstein and A New Car for Pickle by Sylvie Kantorovitz. She also likes anything funny or scary. She runs a freelance editorial business on weekends at Elawreads.com and tweets a lot about children’s books on X @elawreads.
