I will accept ALL submissions: board book, picture book, easy reader, chapter book, MG, GN, YA, and illustrations. I'm also happy to take a look at both fiction and nonfiction in all categories--though, in the nonfiction realm, I know best what to do with picture-book nonfiction and am not as well-versed in nonfiction when it comes to other categories.
Please note that I most likely would not take on author-only clients for a board-book manuscript or an easy-reader manuscript unless I had seen some of their picture book work as well. So, it may be in your best interests to submit a picture-book manuscript if you write in all of those formats.
I am happy to consider picture books from both authors-only and author-illustrators, either prose or rhyme. I'm especially drawn to humorous/unexpected stories with true kid appeal.
In terms of chapter books, I would be most interested in chapter books with series potential.
For MG and YA: I'm most interested in contemporary/realistic stories, or historical post-1900s (or any time if it's time travel). Novels-in-verse are also fine.
For GNs: I'm happy to take a look at scripts-only, though please know that I would most likely only take on a GN client if they are an author-illustrator. If you are a writer-only for GNs but also write MG or YA, I would suggest submitting a MG or YA instead.
For illustrators, I would prefer to see either a picture-book dummy or GN pages so that I can get a sense of your pagination and composition skills, as well as a link to a portfolio on your website and social media (i.e. Instagram).
I'm not the biggest fan of high fantasy--though magical realism, grounded sci-fi, and especially time travel are all totally fine. I also don't like anything too edgy in YA.
