How do I check my registration confirmation?

You can confirm registration by viewing details under member home > events.

How do I add a critique to my registration?

Make sure you are logged on to the site. Go to the Tahquitz Writers Retreat page and hit the Register button. The registration form will show you everything you are already registered for and allow you to add more options. After selecting your choices, you will then be directed to the payment page.

Where are we eating our meals?

Meals are included with registration. We'll eat our meals together, most of them at the Cafe at Tahquitz Pines Resort. Friday breakfast through Sunday breakfast will be served at the Cafe. Thursday night we'll serve appetizers and wine (since people will be arriving at different times). Friday night we'll bring in pizza from a local pizza parlor. Feel free to bring your own personal non-refrigerated snacks for your cabin. Also, Tahquitz Pines sells snacks in their lobby, and there is a coffee shop less than a mile away with pastries and snacks for purchase.

What if I have dietary preferences? 

During registration, you will be asked for any dietary restrictions or preferences such as vegan, vegetarian or gluten free. If you have other specific needs, please email Bev Plass at: SoCal-RA@scbwi.org

Where can I print pages at the retreat?

Tahquitz Pines has a business center where we can use their printers. You can choose to bring a printer in case there are lines at the business center. There will be 28 of us :)

Will I have to bring shampoo?

No! In the past, Tahquitz was very rustic. With all the upgrades, everyone will have comfortable beds, hot showers, and toiletries. Check out photos of the upgrades. We're staying in the "Forest Rooms" section of the center.

How much does parking cost?

Parking is FREE for registrants.

What is the Covid Safety Policy?

We will follow the self-screening policy adopted by SCBWI: https://www.scbwi.org/faq/global/scbwi-policies

What is the cancellation policy?

Full refunds (minus a $20 cancellation fee) are given up until May 16, 2024. There are NO refunds for critiques. To request a refund, please email Bev Plass at: SoCal-RA@scbwi.org

What if I’d like to be placed on the waiting list?

If our event fills up and you’d like to be put on the waitlist, please contact Bev Plass at SoCal-RA@scbwi.org
