2026 Texas Book Fest Signing & Volunteering

Published (trad or indie) members of the Austin chapter of SCBWI may sign up to sell and sign books at the SCBWI booth at the 2026 Texas Book Festival.

• If you are a premium member of SCBWI, you may sign up for one (1) one-hour slot. 
• If you are a TBF author, titles sold by BookPeople at the Festival may NOT be sold at the SCBWI booth. This is part of our agreement with Texas Book Festival.
• PLEASE NOTE: All sales will be handled by YOU. Austin SCBWI will NOT be responsible for bringing or selling books. You MAY NOT STORE books at the booth. You may bring your books a few minutes before your time slot and MUST take any remaining books when you leave. (Unless you are volunteering before or after your slot, then your books can stay with you while you volunteer!)
• In consideration of other signers, you may bring a tall poster stand no wider than 3 feet that can stand behind you, but NO props larger than 1-foot by 1-foot on the table. Any props that make noise are also prohibited. 
• The booth will be in a covered tent in the non-profit groups tent.

If you must cancel on a signing shift, you must email [email protected] 7 day in advance! If you no-show, that is taking a spot from a fellow author or illustrator and you will NOT be allowed to sign at the any SCBWI booths for 2027.
