The Beta Reader Project - Free Event

The Beta Reader Project will match YA novels by interested SCBWI authors with students in the target age group who will provide beta reader feedback. Participating students from the Amsterdam International Community School (AICS) who complete the project will receive credit toward their service requirement.
Don't miss this incredible opportunity to receive feedback from real high school students!
Beta readers will provide:
- Big-picture feedback on your working YA and MG manuscripts by 11-18 year-olds
- Feedback on plot, characters, inconsistencies, and overall impressions
- Point out what is confusing or unclear in your story, or what needs work
- And much more!

Matthew Olson-Roy writes Middle Grade and Young Adult fiction with a soft spot for LGBTQ+ characters who get to star in their own adventures without problematizing their identities. He lives with his husband and their 18-year-old son in Amsterdam, where he works as a teacher librarian at the Amsterdam International Community School.
