In this one-hour workshop, award-winning author of more than two dozen books, Michael F. Stewart will dig deeper into emotion-driven novels. This workshop is part of the SCBWI Canada East Digging Deeper workshop series. Read below for more details.
In this interactive workshop, Michael identifies various methods of structuring a novel and then introduces a new approach using emotion as a complimentary tool. With children's literature, popular movies, and his own books, Michael shows how powerfully resonant stories are based on therapeutic models that we can leverage to create powerful stories of our own. This workshop is aimed at intermediate to advanced writers.
Michael F. Stewart is the award-winning author of over two dozen books for young people in various genres, including RAY VS.
