The Gift of Feedback: Getting the Most out of Critiques

Nov 14, 2023

Online event

Getting feedback on our stories-in-progress can feel overwhelming, discouraging, and very personal. But, really it’s a gift that can take our writing to the next level. In this workshop with author Laura Sassi, participants will investigate topics including setting our emotions aside, recognizing different types of feedback, handling conflicting feedback, stepping back to look at the bigger picture, deciding how to respond to feedback, and more.

What Should You Bring?

For the hands-on portion of the workshop, bring along a manuscript that has received feedback from at least two people so we can dig into it using the feedback tips we will unpack together.
