Murder, Mayhem, and Mental Health
In this webinar, Mindy discusses her research for writing Under This Red Rock, a murder mystery set in the cavern systems of Ohio that explores themes of mental illness, examining the often misunderstood behavior patterns of those who struggle. The program is highly focused on erasing the stigma of mental illness, and the importance of speaking out about mental health, as the author shares her own battles with depression and anxiety, as well as how they informed her process while working on the novel, with an emphasis on converting everyday experiences into creative inspiration.
Mindy McGinnis is an Edgar Award-winning novelist who writes across multiple genres, including post-apocalyptic, historical, thriller, contemporary, mystery, and fantasy.

RECORDING
The workshop will be recorded, and the recording will be available for one month following the event. Attendees will receive a link and a password by email the week following the event.
