About Claire
Claire Tattersfield is an assistant editor at Viking Children’s Books and Flamingo Books at Penguin Young Readers. Working primarily on picture books, she has edited the upcoming books Proper Badger Would Never! Written by Lauren Glattly and illustrated by Rob Sayegh Jr; Grilled Cheese? Yes, Please! Written and illustrated by Tim Kleyn; and Oh No! A Pigsty! Written and illustrated by Dudolf. She’s also assisted on Seth Meyer’s and Rob Sayegh Jr's I’m Not Scared, You’re Scared!; Charlie's Grandy's and Alex Griffith's How to Talk Like a Bear and many, many others. Her debut picture book Cupig illustrated by Rob Sayegh Jr. Is scheduled for publication this Fall.
PB CRITIQUES available--manuscript OR dummy: (at an additional cost)
For all submissions, format your work in 12 point font, with one-inch margins, and double spacing.
For PB, send one full picture book manuscript/dummy plus a 2-3 sentence pitch in the same document. (US Letter paper size-Include synopsis in the same document; please don’t send two documents.)
⇒Please include your name on every page of your work as a header or a footer, as well as identifying information on page one: first & last name, email address, title, genre. ⇒Please SAVE YOUR FILE as Webinar Faculty Last Name_Your Last Name_TITLE OF MANUSCRIPT as a PDF or DOC or DOCx.
