Early readers are deceptively simple. They need to be achievable for a new reader to decode… but not at the expense of the story! In this hour-long webinar, author Kiah Thomas will talk you through the process of creating the Lone Wolf series, look at the structure of early readers (what works and what doesn’t), and give tips and tricks for writing early readers that kids remember. *This event is made possible by a grant from SCBWI and the Authors Coalition of America.
Kiah Thomas is the author of 15 books for kids (and one for adults!), including the internationally published Lone Wolf early readers and the middle grade fantasy adventure series The Callers. Kiah is passionate about books that kids and adults can enjoy together. She lives in Melbourne, Australia with her husband, three children and at least eleven stuffed toy penguins (although honestly, at this point it could be thirteen. The number just keeps increasing.)
