BIO

According to family stories, Jasbinder was born in a stable in the foothills of the Himalaya. Until she was a year and a half, she lived on a farm inhabited by a grumpy camel and a monkey called Oma.

Jasbinder graduated from Bath Spa WYP where the seeds of her Costa Award winning story Asha And The Spirit Bird were sown. It was inspired by the incredible bond with her grandmother.

Since then, Jasbinder has written a total of eleven books, won the Indie Book Award, been nominated for the Carnegie and is a fellow of the Royal Literary Fund. She loves writing magical stories with vivid settings and strong female leads.

              Jasbinder’s latest book is Girl with a Sabretooth Tiger.
