ILF Raises Over $25,000 for School Libraries

For Giving Tuesday 2025, the SCBWI Impact and Legacy Fund reached out to you to help us support school libraries across the United States. And can we just say, THANK YOU! With your generous support, we have raised $17,000, every penny of which will be used to purchase and ship books to critically underfunded school libraries through our program, All Readers Welcome.

And we have more exciting news: this year, the SCBWI ILF has partnered with Every Child a Reader, who has contributed an additional $10,000 to All Readers Welcome through their Circle of Sponsors, a group of incredibly generous literary agents. Carl Lennertz, executive director of Children’s Book Council and the driving force behind Every Child a Reader, announced the partnership in January, much to the delight of the agents and the SCBWI.

We are absolutely thrilled to be able to support even more schools with even more books this year.

With All Readers Welcome, we honor the devotion of school librarians who work to keep their collections exciting, relevant, and accessible to kids in their schools. Thank you for helping us lift them up.
