In-Person and Virtual Winter Conference Registration Opening Soon!
Once again, we will have both an in-person AND a virtual Winter Conference in February 2024. SCBWI members can register for one or both options once registration opens in October and November.
The In-Person Winter Conference will take place February 9-11, 2024 at the New York Midtown Hilton. Featured keynoters include award-winning author-illustrator, James Ransome, Children’s Poet Laureate, Joseph Coelho, and Graphic Novelist, Cece Bell. Attendees will have the option of choosing TWO three-hour Creative Labs that will provide a deep dive into an aspect of the craft or business of creating books for children. This year, we are happy to announce there are two Creative Labs specifically for authors and illustrators who self-publish!
The in-person Winter Conference will also include panels of agents, editors, and art directors, the career-launching Portfolio Showcase, optional one-on-one manuscript and portfolio consultations, social media consultations, as well as socials and networking opportunities. Registration for the in-person event opens on October 24th at 10am PACIFIC time.
The Virtual Winter Conference, which takes place on February 24, 2024 will feature The Piranha Pit – a live marketing pitch-off, all the recorded keynotes and panels from the in-person event, plus a choice of one three-hour Creative Lab. There will also be peer critiques, socials and networking opportunities. If you can’t attend the virtual event live, video replays will be available to watch for 30 days. Registration for the virtual Winter Conference opens on November 7th at 10am PACIFIC time.
