Amy Houts is an award-winning author of over 100 children's books, cookbooks, and board games that feature early learning concepts, family themes of love and friendship, and holiday celebrations. Her books include both assignments from educational publishers and freelance. In 2020, Amy wrote 15 science easy readers for Highlights Press and 60 retold classic tales for Compass Publishing (South Korea). Her faith-based picture book, God's Protection Covers Me (Beaming Books) compares animal homes to God's loving care. The Giant Book of Bible Fingerplays for Preschoolers (Group Publishing) features 101 Bible stories, Scripture verses, and related fingerplays. While her daughters were growing up, Amy wrote part-time and worked as a librarian, preschool teacher, and instructor for the Institute of Children's Literature. A few years ago, her dream--to write full-time--came true. Amy and her husband, Steve, have two grown daughters and three grandchildren. They live in rural Northwest Missouri, an hour from Steve's family farm. Visit Amy's website: Follow her on Twitter @AmyHouts and Facebook, Author Amy Houts.
