A porcupine at heart, Bijal Vachharajani is usually found coiled up in her den – reading, writing or editing children’s books – with one of her many quills. She is known to get prickly over climate change. The former editor of Time Out Bengaluru, she has a Masters in Environment Security and Peace from the University for Peace in Costa Rica. Her books include A Cloud Called Bhura, which won the AutHer Award for Best Children's Book in 2020, So You Want to Know About the Environment, What’s Neema Eating Today?, Seed Savers, PS What's up with the climate?, and That Night. She has co-written 10 Indian Champions Who Are Fighting to Save the Planet and The Great Indian Nature Trail with Uncle Bikky.
