My degree is in Biology, but I've wanted to be a writer as long as I can remember. I figured I'd pursue it once I became a mom--you know, in my leisure time. After eight years as a Research Biologist in the pharmaceutical industry, I left my job to become a full-time mom, and discovered that I was lucky if I managed to make it out of pajamas each day.As my two boys grew more independent, I had parenting essays published in "American Baby" magazine and on Mothering.com. And then I had a third child and barely managed to get out of pajamas for another five years.They're all independent now, so I'm plotting my third novel and contemplating if my first two manuscripts are salvageable. There are still days I don't manage to get out of pajamas, but at least now it's by choice.
