About

I am a dance educator and author. My verses and stories for children are written from the point of view of a dance educator. I love to use movement prompts to encourage children to move and use their imaginations. I began dancing as a child, and have been dancing ever since. I attended Denison University, spent one year dancing in Latin America, and then received my MFA from the University of Michigan. I performed professionally for ten years in ballet and contemporary dance companies, in both the US and in Latin America. I have been active in the field of dance education for more than forty years, and I have been writing about movement for the past thirteen years.
