About

Doug Wechsler is most at home knee-deep in a swamp or playing a camera-toting Tarzan in some snake-infested Jungle. But he also enjoys working with publishers and advertisers creating books, articles, or finding the appropriate photo to illustrate a concept or dazzle the readers. He is the author of 24 books on nature. A Research Associate of The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University, he often finds himself in the tropical forest, in pursuit of rarely photographed birds, insects, frogs and the forests surrounding him. As an ornithologist, wildlife biologist and life-long naturalist, Doug is intimately familiar with the subjects of his books
