I am a wife, mother, marketer, and author. I was born and raised in Roanoke Rapids, a small town in eastern North Carolina, surrounded by beautiful trees and farm land. I received a Bachelor in Business from Winston-Salem State University, a historically black college. And, later, I went on to receive an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I have enjoyed a career in marketing for almost 10 years, working in advertising, consumer packaged goods (CPG) and EdTech. With a passion for education, literature, and diversity, I founded the Zayzay Literary Co - a small independent publishing company - to allow me to freely create and support others in their publishing journey. As an author, I seek to write stories that expand mindsets on the BIPOC experience. In my quiet time, I enjoy taking in the outdoors, reading, entertaining family/friends, and expressing myself through art and writing.
