Gail Maki Wilson

Author, Illustrator

About

Living in the Sonoran desert of Arizona since she was a child, Gail enjoys everything the great outdoors has to offer. Her love for nature has been a great influence on her work as a writer/illustrator. Gail works in a number of different styles to suit different projects, ranging from color realism, using a combination of a graphite, colored pencil, and pastel, to graphic collage work, using a combination of traditional cut-paper and digital collage. Her background in Graphic Design was a natural step into the world of children’s picture books. The conception of ideas, words, and images brought to life through the pages of a book is a designer’s dream.
