I was raised by wolves in the wilds of the Inland Pacific Northwest (at least that is what my mother, Fang, always told me). That didn't deter me from drawing my whole life and I am now an award-winning writer/illustrator/designer and an associate professor of Art and Design at the University of Idaho. As part of an editorial team for a magazine called Skew, my writing and design work garnered both a Clarion and an Apex award. My illustration, Eustace's Three-Ounce Quandary, was featured on The New Yorker website and was described by art director Françoise Mouly as: "...the one that really made us laugh."
