Kris Easler (she/her) is a freelance illustrator, graphic designer in publishing, and chronic overthinker with a pencil. She lives in Minneapolis with her husband, and doesn’t feel at home without at least one pet and a respectable collection of tea. She loves stories that allow her to explore light and darkness, both literal and metaphorical. Even through humor a good story should have an empathetic heart, and she would enjoy working on books that offer understanding to those in difficult situations.
Selected clients include Bloomsbury Children's Books, Charlesbridge, Highlights Magazine, Cricket Magazine, and 826CHI; she also has been honored as a Student Illustration winner in Applied Arts Magazine, and as Featured Illustrator for SCBWI for September of 2018. She holds a BFA in Studio Art from Concordia University in Nebraska and a Masters in Illustration from Savannah College of Art and Design.
