Marilyn Hilton is the author of the middle-grade novels Full Cicada Moon (Dial, 2015), which won a 2015-2016 Asian/Pacific American Award for Literature (APALA); and Found Things (Atheneum, 2014), which won the SCBWI Sue Alexander award in 2011 as Hover Over Me; and the nonfiction books for tweens The Christian Girl’s Guide to Your Mom (Rainbow Books/Legacy Press, 2004) and It’s All About Dad & Me (Redemption Press, 2014). She has published numerous articles, devotions, short stories, and poems in literary and consumer magazines, and has contributed to several anthologies. Marilyn enjoys speaking and teaching at workshops, schools, meetings, and retreats.
She holds a MA degree in English/Creative Writing and is a member of several professional organizations including Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), Romance Writers of America (RWA), and American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW). She works as an editor for a software development firm and lives in San Jose, California, with her husband, three children, and a feisty mini-dachshund.
