I am a free spirit involved deeply with my family life.  I love making flour tortillas and cooking for my family.  Preparing flour tortillas is very much a way of bringing peace and happiness to myself.  It's therapeutic for me to make tortillas, because it centers me and allows me to share a very special lesson to my five terrific grandchildren.  I am fortunate to be able to help them any way I can.  And I do.  It keeps me young and good.   I've been married to my dear Juan, since 1973!  We are happy and resolved and there for one another every step of the way.  Our home is in Oceanside, California, since 1989.  Our three children, all grown and happy with their mates, are the reasons we live happily in this beautiful Paradise, north San Diego County.   I look forward to staying involved with Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, because it has been a good inspiration since I joined in 2014.  The PB critiques have helped me a great deal.  I am appreciative of the tremendous resources in the leadership of the critique groups and the organization as a whole.
