I grew up near Binghamton, NY and have lived in Indian Trail, NC over ten years. I  enjoy pursuing my writing career and making book appearances  at libraries and schools.I'm a retired teacher, and use my personal experiences as inspiration for my writing.   I love being with my family in Indian Trail NC.  Other interests I enjoy include ancestry.com, volunteering and gardening.  I have a BS degree in Elementary Education from SUNY, Geneseo; and MS from both SUNY Cortland and UNCCharlotte in Special Education. I'm excited to become a member of SCBWI and look forward to attending conferences and meeting other members.
