For the past 25 years my experience working as an art museum educator has helped me understand the power images have when teaching history, science and social issues to diverse populations. I grew up in Connecticut with a combination of formal art training starting at Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD, and self guided exploration throughout my life. My art medium preferences shift between painting with acrylic washes and digital, vector art. One style allows for easily corrected control offering precise images while the other provides a random flow of paint enticing the imagination. Both bring ample opportunities to tell stories leading me to my most recent creative pursuit, graphic novels.
