Originally hailing from Wisconsin, I landed in Chicago after earning my Graphic Design BFA from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and now run Meggan Kehrli Design + Illustration studio. I specialize in pen + ink and digital illustrations of quirky creatures, animals, nature, objects and architecture. You can find my published illustrations in a variety of genres including Children’s Literature and Gothic Fiction. I’ve been able to enjoy the success of the children’s chapter book I designed and illustrated, Who Rescued Who? (by Janis Power), which received a Moonbeam Children’s BookGold Award. When I’m not busy at the studio drawing, making prints, or creating hand-bound books I'm probably outside biking or caught up in an urban adventure with my sketchbook.
