About

Polly Holyoke graduated Phi Beta Kappa, summa cum laude from Middlebury College in Vermont and earned her teaching certificate from the University of Colorado. Polly has been writing stories since she was in fifth grade. When she isn’t tapping away on her computer, Polly loves reading, camping, skiing, scuba diving and hiking in the desert (where she got herself bitten by a rattlesnake years ago). She lives with two dogs and a nice husband who tolerates piles of books all over their house.Polly is also a multi-published author of adventurous fiction for kids. SKYRIDERS, her new series about brave young couriers on flying horses battling chimerae, will be available from Viking Childrens' March, 2023. Her books published by Disney/Hyperion include THE NEPTUNE CHALLENGE (2015) and THE NEPTUNE PROJECT (2013). They have been named to state reading lists in TX, MD, FL, HI and OH and to Bank Street's 2014 list of Best Children's Books of the year. THE NEPTUNE PROJECT won Florida's Sunshine State Young Reader's Award. The last book in the Neptune Trilogy, THE NEPTUNE PROMISE, is available on Amazon and BN. A former teacher, Polly has presented at over 300 schools.
