R.M. Tudor is the author of Box 1571. At age eight she decided she wanted to be a teacher and an author so she taught geography for nine years and wrote whenever she could. Following the publication of Box 1571, she now conducts author visits and creative writing workshops in schools. She also tutors students and writes geography resources, primarily for Oxford University Press. She lives in Macclesfield and loves latin and ballroom dancing as well as embarking on craft projects that take about five times longer than she thinks they will. In her spare time, she is the co-chair of the SCBWI conference committee for the British Isles.
