Robin Michelle Wilson is an educator, children's author, and multidisciplinary visual artist. Robin is a native of Inkster, Michigan. She currently lives in Dearborn with her husband.
A 2022 United States Fulbright Hays GPA Brazil Fellow, Robin is a graduate of the University of Michigan Dearborn. Her children's books include "Mama Got Rhythm Daddy Got Rhyme" (p. 2009 & 2021) and "Jazz-A-Bet: An Original Jazz Alphabet" (p. July 2024).
In the visual art domain, Robin works in abstract, collage, and fiber. Her practice analyzes African American family traditions, historical lineages, and cultural inheritances through applications of memory, research, and storytelling. Robin is a member of the Great Lakes African American Quilters Network and uses quilting as a form of storytelling.
