Sahabia Ahmed was born in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, and immigrated to the United States after her high school graduation. Currently, she works in a Fortune 500 regulated utility focused in leading resource planning (such as renewables, hydrogen investment), decarbonization studies, and creating net zero pathways. In addition, she serves as a board member and VP of Finance for the United Nations Association Houston Chapter, where she works towards achieving Sustainable Development Goals and advocating for positive change. She is passionate about environmental issues such as climate change, and she hopes that through her stories, children will catch her vision for a better future. She tries to incorporate diversity and compassion in her books and looks to nature for inspiration.
