Susan’s historical fiction picture book manuscript, Three Sisters Grow In My Garden was a finalist for the 19th Annual Tassy Walden Awards for New Voices in Children’s Literature. She writes for both children and adults. Susan leads the Connecticut River Valley SCBWI Critique Group (in person and on ZOOM) and offers writing workshops for adults about local history and memoir writing. Her career spans the fields of journalism (writer/editor), public relations, marketing, and education. Susan lives in East Haddam, Connecticut surrounded by rich history, a vibrant artistic community, and over 56 acres of rolling countryside, unforgettable state parks, and spectacular river views..
