I’m an author-illustrator based in Florida, a 2024 PBParty finalist, and a member of two author-illustrator critique groups. I studied illustration at Tokyo Design School where I first began dreaming of creating picture books, and my love for children’s books has only deepened after being a home educator for 23 years. I aim to tell stories that evoke emotions with a light-hearted approach using cute and endearing characters. My Japanese heritage influences my story-telling and illustration style. I’d love to create books that bring children joy and become an oasis amid difficult time. When I'm not creating, you can find me playing a pickleball, sipping tea with my friends, collecting shells at the beach, or traveling to see my family.
