Nancy Castaldo

Nancy Castaldo, award-winning nonfiction author, has written picture books, chapter books, middle grade and young adult books about our planet for over 20 years. Her books have earned many awards and accolades, including the Green Earth Book Award, two SCBWI Crystal Kite Awards, NSTA Best STEM Book, Eureka Silver Honors, and numerous Junior Library Guild Selections. She is currently the Regional Advisor Emeritus of SCBWI Eastern NY. Nancy has vast experience reviewing manuscripts and books, serving on SCBWI’s Golden Kite Committee, WIP award committee, and Highlight’s faculty. She has also served as a judge for the Rachel Carson Book Award. Nancy believes that we all can make a difference and always instills that theme in her books. Her research has taken her worldwide, from the Galapagos to Russia, and she loves sharing her adventures with her readers. Her notable book, When the World Runs Dry, includes a chapter set in Tucson.
