SCBWI Long Island Logo Contest!

Dear members, with the creation of a new SCBWI website we would like to showcase the talent of our members and create a new chapter logo to celebrate the event.

The logo should encompass and embody what Long Island means to members, our SCBWI children's book membership, and the children's book community, literature, and the heart of our vibrant chapter.

Participants own full copyright to all materials submitted to this contest. By submitting logo art to the contest, participants are allowing the SCBWI Long Island chapter to use the winning logo digitally and on all official SCBWI LI digital and printed materials, such as letterhead, the SCBWI Long Island website, promo materials, and newsletter.

Logo Contest Rules:

• An entrant must be a premium member of the SCBWI Long Island chapter.
• The logo should have the words SCBWI Long Island somewhere on it. No initials.
• The logo can be created in any medium and style but must be submitted digitally.
• Images must be submitted as a JPEG attachment and sized at 1024 x 373 pixels (or 3.413 x 1.243 inches according to Photoshop) at 300 dpi.
• You may enter more than one logo into the contest. 

Submissions:

• Please submit your entry to longislandny@scbwi.org no later than midnight (EST) on May 1, 2024.
• Subject line: logo contest entry
• Digital submissions only, with images as email attachments. Do not embed images in an email.

Contest Prize:

• The contest will be judged by our chapter members and voted on electronically.
• The winner will receive one year of free membership to SCBWI and a t-shirt with their winning logo printed on it.
