Originally from Germany, Tanja Bauerle grew up in Australia, and now calls Arizona home. She holds a BFA in Computer Animation and owns her own branding and design business. Tanja has illustrated both picture and chapter books, earning awards like the Arizona Book Award, the Glyph Award, and the Annual International Latino Book Awards. One of her picture books is currently on submission and she is working on an RR for a historical fiction middle-grade illustrated novel.
We are excited to announce that, in order to keep pace with current activities and bring in new opportunities for our members, Arizona has moved to a Co-RA system.
Our long-serving volunteer and previous ARA, Tanja Bauerle, has accepted the role of Co-RA for our region.
Tanja joined SCBWI in 2003 and has been an active member since, helping wherever she can. Having served both as Illustrator Coordinator and Assistant Regional Advisor for Arizona, Tanja brings more than twelve years of Regional Team experience to the Co-RA position.
provided Tanja with a creative community and craft education when she first began her publishing journey. She understands what it means to be both a writer and illustrator and is eager to support members as they journey down the road to publication and beyond.
