In this all-day in-person workshop, Connecticut middle-grade authors Jeanne Zulick Ferruolo and Kimberly Behre Kenna will guide you as you learn techniques for crafting an engaging hook. Examples of successful opening lines, setting the scene, and creating multi-faceted characters with goals and stakes will be discussed and applied to your own revision process. Learn how to formulate a plan to take your work to the next level. Bring your MG novel’s first five to ten pages (double-spaced) for sharing/critique.
