SCBWI Announces Golden Kite and Sid Fleischman Award Finalists

Finalists were chosen in seven categories: Picture Book Text, Middle Grade Fiction, Illustrated Book/Graphic Novel for Older Readers, Picture Book Illustration, Young Adult Fiction, Nonfiction Text for Younger Readers, and Nonfiction Text for Older Readers. Two debut novelists are also included in the young adult category, joining other celebrated, award-winning writers and illustrators. The celebrated Sid Fleischman Award for Humor will also be awarded. The Golden Kite Awards will be presented live on Zoom and is open to the public on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 7 pm EST/4 pm PST.
